Quote: All it takes is ONE BAD DAY to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That's how far the world is from where I am. JUST ONE BAD DAY
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to my little show! I am Gotham's "Clown Prince of Crime" but you can call me: the Joker. I have spent my life just trying to make people laugh at the dark and twisted things that people know they shouldn't laugh at but do anyways. In order to perfect my art some people have to die but hey you can't make an omelette with out breaking a few eggs and I can't make my funny without ending a few lives.
My motivation in life is the stage. You could call me the world's greatest actor. My stage is reality and my theater is Gotham city. I own this city, I know what you are thinking, Batsy may lay claim to this city too but think about it, what would he really be without me: a nothing, a nobody, out of the job, I complete him as much as he completes me. Without me old batsy would just be another schmuck.
Now I have read what Gotham civil authorities think of me and I don't think they are very nice when they describe me. I'm just trying to HAVE FUN and they don't seem to appreciate that fact. They wouldn't know fun if it were to jump up and bit them like one of my famous Joker fish.
My point is this, life is about two things and only two things: Having FUN by any means possible and killing the Batman. After that everything else just seems inconsequential.
Now lets take a look at what the Gotham Police Files say about me, trust me its not very light reading but it is enjoyable just the same. Now don't take everything they say to heart because as the well known fact goes those who can't act criticize :
GOTHAM POLICE FILE
FILE NUMBER 14584
Name: Unknown
Birth Date: Unknown
Birth Location: Unknown
Aliases: Jack Napier, The Joker, and The Crime Prince of Gotham
Next to nothing is known about the Joker, except that he operated as an enforcer/hitman for various crime bosses before becoming the "Clown Prince of Crime." The Joker first encountered Batman during a botched robbery at the Ace Chemical Factory. He escaped by leaping into a drainage vat of chemical waste, but later discovered the toxins bleached his skin chalk white, dyed his hair fluorescent green, and stretched his lips into a hideous, permanent red grin. It's not hard to understand why such a transformation snapped his already unstable mind. The Joker's methods are simple: gain pleasure in breaking every law and moral stature known to man. More importantly, he makes the crime funnier by playing a game of cat and mouse with Batman. Joker views every crime, infliction of pain, and murder as the ultimate joke -- mocking Batman. Joker's trademarks are his razor sharp playing cards and the laughing gas Smilex, a chemical that infects his victims with the same ghastly grin as his own. Extremely intelligent despite his lunacy, the Joker often accesses information within Gotham City that should only be available to government officials and the police. His only real motive is bringing Batman as close to the edge as possible. Joker strives to outdo Gotham's other villains as well, for if they have the honor of doing Batman in then he has no purpose. To The Joker Gotham is merely a stage on which he performs.
