My world is pretty insular in that I keep to myself most of the time. I like dark things but since it is typical for me I don’t consider them dark at all. As they say, appearances can be deceiving. Therefore I was nicknamed in the past, Cinderella. I would chuckle to myself and let people believe what they wanted until one day they realized the name didn't exactly fit.
I was born and raised in California. I love the ocean and everything about it except swimming in it. I love to hear the waves breaking on the shore. I like the night and sitting in a chair lazing around in the moonlight especially if there is a blazing fire nearby. This would be ideal. I am a daydreamer and always have a lot of ideas floating around in my head. Many of them I don't complete because there's never enough time.
Like most who have wandered to this site I have always had an interest in all facets relating to the vampire. As a kid I was fascinated by vampire movies from Dracula to just about any movie with a vampire in it. I thought how nice it would be to be an immortal. Then the more fiction you read or watch you realize how sad immortality is when you have to watch all your love ones die.
I was involved extensively with the occult and metaphysics from a fairly early age. Magick was a fascination and have either used a system or at least studied it to a degree. I am really interested in Enochian magick and have been for years because I study angels. I am no angel by any means. Some get irritated with what they assume is a know-it-all attitude but it is just from my writing and I speak up about things I know, because generally I have written on the topic or had a class. Below is a depiction of Michael the Archangel among other things and his sigil.
I am somewhat of a girly girl so occasionally I will have butterflies, flowers or faeries on my profiles along with the much darker graphics. Often you will see things from specific cultures or periods in history because these are my interests. I'm trying out new things, creating new looks on some of the graphics. This is one of the things I like best about VR is the chance to be creative. My favorite color is red so you will always see some aspect of that on my profiles. I have an avid interest in faeries and angels due to a link with various beliefs concerning vampires in certain countries, such as the Lhiannan Shee from the Isle of Man and the Irish Chieftain, Avartagh or Abhartach. I have been researching and writing on this topic for a very long time now. I don't dwell on the Eastern European vampire mythos.
Myth & Folklore
Since I mentioned this topic I thought I would say a little about it. When something is handed down orally, folklore and then written, myths it doesn't mean it is an accurate retelling. Over time the stories tend to change. My favorite mythological creatures are Dragons, Pegasus and Mermaids. There are others, but these are at the top of my list along with faeries and angels of course. I realize some do not think of angels as mythological but until one shows up for dinner that is the category they will stay in as far as I am concerned. It doesn't mean I don't believe in certain things but how I categorize them and research them.
I have friends in the Otherkin community that believe themselves to be the essence of a dragon in human form. Much has been written about the Dragon and I believe they are a species that man hunted into extinction aeons ago.
Music
I had an abiding love of music and still do so I studied music and psychology. I didn’t finish that like a lot of things I started and stopped. I was a vocalist but of course in the earlier years I did play piano because it is a prerequisite for music majors. I love symphonic metal bands so generally I listen to something of that style most often. I like bands such as Cradle of Filth, Epica, After Forever, Nightwish, Kamelot, Dargaard, Opeth, Saliva, Lacuna Coil, Avenged Sevenfold, Shine Down, Train, Three Days Grace and 30 Seconds to Mars. I also like Celtic, Bossa Nova and some pop music. Therefore in keeping with my theme, I decided to put videos here dealing with storytelling musically and also verbally. Sit back and take a look. I am a person who talks a lot yet in large groups of people I am uncomfortable and shy. I love meeting new people and traveling around the United States. I have only lived in one other place and that was Georgia as far as another state. It was culture shock! I got used to it and loved the slower pace of life. Savannah is one of my favorite towns. I had to leave but wish that someday I can go back. Learning about the differences in traditions in various areas of the US and other countries especially the British Isles is something that has been an interest and I have written on many places I have never actually seen.
Other Interests
I love movies and watch them all the time. I am not too big on tv series but I do watch some on the Sci Fi channel such as Sanctuary. I also watch old series on "Chiller" and have become a regular watcher of a few of them. I didn't think I would like True Blood when I saw the first episode and I think its bawdiness is a little over done but I got hooked, lol. This is a nice photo of the two main characters, Vampire Bill and Sookie.
This is one of the posters for the new season. I cropped off the writing because I liked the picture so I could use it longer. Each one has an individual main character and of course,*grins*, this is my favorite as you will see when you read further :)
My favorite character in the show isn't either of the two shown above but this person, who is a 1000 year old vampire by the name of Eric. This show isn't merely about vampires but also shapeshifters, werewolves, witches and faeries, if the series follows the books. They have introduced some of these other types of characters but not all as of yet. I have to say some of this seasons shows have been rather humorous and others pretty bloody so something for everyone. :)
It appears they are developing his character a little more and he will be possibly interacting more closely with Sookie. They cut his hair but I prefer it how he had it at the beginning of the show. Alexander Skarsgard did a movie during this time so I assume his hair was cut for that reason. There is a small group of characters that really make this show. Sookie's friend Tara and Sam and others that work in Sam's cafe add alot to the story as well as Jason, her brother who contributes to the comedy end of the show. They tend to kill off characters quite frequently so you never know how long someone will be in the series.
Entertainment
My favorite genres are Science Fiction, Fantasy, Thrillers and Horror. Right now as far as actors I am intererested in Jason Statham and Glen Levy from New Zealand who is also a martial arts expert and stunt coordinator, but my favorite actor is James Spader and of course I love Gerard Butler. The females would be Julia Roberts, Emily Blunt, Kate Winslet and Anne Hathaway among others. I like nostalgia so my favorite older actor and actress are Tyrone Power and Gene Tierney. Some of the movies I have seen recently are: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, District 9, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Time Traveler's Wife, Terminator Salvation. Going to be watching The Telling and Final Destination 4 next and now I am long past these movies. Yes, I have a secret website, lol.
When I was 19 a vampire soap opera started on television. Like so many others I was fascinated by it and watched it religiously. My favorite character was Angelique. Below is a picture of Lara Parker who played the part.
Lara Parker (born October 27, 1937) is an American television and film actress best known for her role as Angelique on the cult ABC-TV serial Dark Shadows which aired from 1966 to 1971. Ms. Parker reprised the role of Angelique in Night of Dark Shadows, the second feature film based on Dark Shadows. She was joined by her Dark Shadows cast mates Kate Jackson, David Selby, Grayson Hall, Nancy Barrett, John Karlen, and Thayer David. This film was more loosely based on the series than House of Dark Shadows was, and it did not fare as well at the box office as the first film did. In 1998, Parker published a novel, Angelique's Descent. Its sequel, Dark Shadows: The Salem Branch, came out in July 2006. She has recently reprised the role of Angelique for a new series of Dark Shadows audio dramas, and is the reader for the audiobook recording of Angelique's Descent. Cassandra was an alias she used when she projected into the future of Dark Shadows. I have one of her spells on my Mollidew profile at the top. When she was cursed by a male witch she aged 200 years and came back as a vampire.
Angelique
Johnny Depp has since acquired the rights to the Dan Curtis show and has been a fan since small and will be reprising the role of Banabas Collins. Tim Burton will be the director. They say they will start filming this fall. I can hardly wait to see it.
Romance
Romance, love, passion or enrapture, all interesting words for something I am not really interested in pursuing. I have been married twice so for the longest time that was the "M" word. I prefer just being on my own and solitude. I am simply no longer motivated to be at the beck and call of a significant other. I have done all of this and am satisfied that it is something I have moved on past. So that is where I stand on that one. I don't have any interests, lol. I am not lonely or needy. I don't require someone else to complete my life. I am quite satisfied. If I was to be honest though, I am a romantic at heart in that I like that type of movie such as "P.S. I Love You" and I will cry. Shhh don't tell anyone I told you :)

Unfortunately I don't like to talk about this topic but seems when you have been on this site a long time it gets to that. I don't give away 10s. If you are new understand it isn't personal. I can't in good conscience give you a 10 for maybe an avatar/picture, sometimes nothing in that spot and a few lines of default typing. Over the Years
I am a collector of all sorts of things. I collect books of all types and I look for deals on certain first editions. I collect lighthouses, fairies, angels, commerative coins, mint stamps, dragons and a number of other things. I am interested in geneology and I belonged at one time to a geneological group. I have belonged to IANDS as well for Near Death Studies. I was a charter member of Carl Sagan's Planetary Society. I have studied over the years many occult and metaphysical topics both on my own and in organized classes with an instructor. I love to write and have my own ezine, Midnight Magica. Check it out the link is in my list above. I am also a founder and write for the GraveYard Press and occasionally for Haunted Times. I was a massage tech and instructor at one time and very involved in alternative health modalities. When I left this area of pursuit I began to care for children with developmental disabilities specializing in autism. Now I have retired and I write.
Scifi & Power Punks
I will be putting my Scifi and Power Punks information in my Journal. I decided to add a little music and since I can't place everything here about superheroes or villains and scifi/fantasy I put up music themes from tv series or motion pictures.
